About the AHRC
The AHRC is a national organization representing approximately
one hundred riding centres throughout Australia.
Our objective
is to promote accredited riding centres which
are dedicated in
providing the public with
- Professional and safe facilities
- Qualified instructors
- Safe, well maintained equipment and gear
- Coaching horse riding in a fun, educational and safe manner
- A high standard of trained
horses and ponies
Our members uphold professional standards in their operation by
recording safety and horse welfare records, maintenance
recording of gear and facilities, emergency and first aid
procedures and ethical and honest marketing. Regular inspections
of premises and coaches workshops are held to update operators
on Government legislation in the horse industry, O.H.S as well
as update coaches skills and first aid certificates.

Assessments of coaches in the workplace are held regularly to
assist in coaches qualifications.
Our certificates are
nationally recognized by the Australian Sports Commission.
The Victorian branch holds regular meetings to encourage
members to participate in discussion on marketing, coaching and
training levels, updates within the
horse industry, ideas and improvements in operating a horse
riding business.
